About PRF
Letter from Senior Vice President, Treasurer and COO
For the past 75 years, Purdue Research Foundation’s sole purpose has been to “Advance the Mission of Purdue University.” In addition to PRF’s long-time responsibilities — accepting gifts, administering trusts, funding research scholarships and grants, acquiring property and negotiating research contracts on behalf of Purdue — the foundation took on a new incarnation in the 1990s when it was charged with helping the university in the realm of economic development.
Since 1993, PRF has grown the Purdue Research Park into a model for other technology parks around the state of Indiana. As we gathered feedback from our client companies and gained additional confidence from our faculty-entrepreneurs, we watched our technology transfer, business development and incubation programming garner Purdue numerous honors and awards
I hope you’ll take a moment to review PRF’s 2006-2010 Strategic Plan so that you can get a feel for PRF’s new direction. We are honored and excited to have an important role in Purdue’s extensive plan to strengthen Indiana’s position in this emerging knowledge-based economy. Working closely with researchers from Purdue’s Discovery Park, we are committed to bringing Hoosiers the promise of new high-tech companies with secure, high-paying jobs.
